At War With Wellington, the Peninsular War.

Well one of next year's holidays is sorted.  I've booked to go on a Leger coach trip around Spain at the end of April next year - a new trip for Leger, whose battlefield tours I've been going on for years, almost exclusively WWI & WWII.

This one is two weeks, driving down through France and then visiting the battlefields of Talavera, Badajoz, Albuera, Ciudad Rodrigo, Salamanca, Vitoria, the Bidassoa River & San Sebastian, Battle of St.Pierre, the taking of Toulouse and  then ending up at Fountainebleau to consider the two treaties signed there (1807 & 1814).

I'm hopeful that the guide on this inaugural trip will be Paul Reed, who not only is an MA in Military History but is also a bit of a wargamer on the side !

The trade-off has been to say yes to The Good Lady Wife going to Turkey with her old schoolfriends again next year, so everyone is happy !

Vamanos !
