Last Thursday, a few of us made the pilgrimage to Bishop's Stortford for the grand opening of Steve M's new war room, which is a garage conversion complete with beer fridge !
Here's the motley crew, pre-battle.
An Ancients game had been decided upon, so half the participants were controlling the Romans whilst the others had Carthaginians and allies.
The following pictures give you an idea of the scale of the game (table was 12' x 6')
It ended as a bit of a Phyrric victory for the Carthaginians but great fun was had by all and Steve and Mrs M laid on a marvellous lunch for us all which was greatly appreciated.
